ELNA Therapy is owned and maintained by Natalya Fateyeva.
Natalya is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy. She maintains private practice in Davie, Florida.
Natalya has a very rich family and cultural history. Growing up as the youngest of three, she was very often exposed to the complex inner workings of a large family. As a result of this, she began to develop patience and the ability to listen to others at a very early age, in turn making her the family confidant. Her older siblings, parents, and extended family members grew accustomed to her willingness to listen when they needed someone to talk to. As she grew older, her peers started to seek her counsel as well, as she would always lend a friendly ear and put them at ease.
Later on, Natalya’s love for being around people motivated her to become a teacher. She received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in teaching from Florida International University and went on to teach English as a Second Language at Miami Dade College. There, a vast majority of her students were foreign immigrants, and through this experience she learned how to understand and connect with people of different cultural backgrounds.
Natalya now has a family of her own, and being married for 20 years and raising a daughter with whom she maintains a very close relationship enabled her to help her students with their own family situations, and they began to seek her guidance not only academically, but personally as well.
At some point, Natalya realized she had a natural ability to help people, and led her to pursue professional training in psychology. She went on to receive her second Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University.
Natalya uses a solution-focused model when approaching therapy. She begins every case by getting to know the client, and asks questions in order to build a rapport and a trusting relationship. As the sessions progress, she digs deeper by helping the client find solutions to their problems within him or herself. She is interactive and engages clients in comfortable conversation, while helping them build on their strengths and accomplish their goals of therapy. Her clients found her personalized approach very effective, since every person is different and requires a therapy plan customized to their needs and wishes.
Her philosophy is not to dwell on the past, but rather focus on the present and look to the future.
